What we need to hear from you
Tell us the pickup and delivery addresses, roughly how many rooms are involved, your target date, and anything unusual, such as a piano, a hot tub, or a third-floor walk-up with no elevator.
If you already know whether you want packing help, mention it. If you are not sure, we can talk through the difference in scope and let you decide.
How the estimate gets built
For local moves in Cary and the Triangle, we estimate crew size and hours from your inventory and the access at both addresses. For long-distance jobs, the figure is based on estimated weight and mileage.
Larger homes and any commercial job get a walk-through, in person or on a video call where you carry the phone room to room. A one-bedroom or studio unit can usually be priced from a written list of what is going, without a call at all.
Everything is put in writing before your date is locked in, so there is nothing to argue about later.
When to reach out
For an end-of-month or summer date, contact us three to four weeks ahead if you can. Mid-month dates in spring or fall can sometimes be booked with just a week's notice.
If your timeline is tight because of a job start date or a lease deadline, say so up front. We will tell you honestly whether we can meet it.
Questions we are happy to walk through
People ask whether we move items into a storage unit, whether we can just load a rented container in the driveway, and whether we handle a single piece of furniture across town. We say yes to most of these once we know the details.
We also get asked about elevator bookings, HOA paperwork, and what happens if it rains on moving day. We have a plan for each of those and will talk you through it before you book.
If you already spoke to us once and just need to adjust a date or add a service like packing, mention that up front and we can usually update the existing estimate rather than starting over.
