What labor-only covers
You rent the truck or the shipping container, and we send the crew to load or unload it. This suits families who have a vehicle through a relocation package, a college move-in with a rented van, or a container drop-off in the driveway.
The same wrapping and floor protection habits from a full move apply here, since the goal is furniture that arrives without new scratches.
Loading a rental truck correctly
A tightly packed truck rides better and holds more than one loaded in a hurry. We build the load from the heaviest furniture at the front, brace it against shifting, and fill gaps with soft goods so nothing slides on the highway.
This is also where most do-it-yourself moves go wrong, since a loose load in a rental truck is how a couch ends up on top of a dresser by the time it reaches the new state.
Storage unit loading and unloading
Whether you are packing a unit off Cary Parkway for a few months or emptying one after a downsize, we bring dollies and blankets and load it so the space is used well and nothing gets crushed near the door.
Unloading works the same way in reverse, carried directly into the new place rather than staged in the driveway.
Booking labor-only
Tell us the truck or container size, the address, and roughly how many rooms of furniture are involved, and we will send the right crew size for the hours it should take.
Small jobs are welcome here too, whether that is a single sofa, a set of appliances, or a garage full of boxes.
When labor-only is the wrong fit
If you have not booked a truck yet, it is usually cheaper for us to bring our own rather than adding a labor-only crew on top of a separate rental cost. We will tell you honestly which route works out cheaper for your job.
Long-distance loads where the truck needs to be weighed and tracked also work better as a full move, since labor-only assumes you are handling the drive and the mileage yourself.
